Paulinah Eboh-Sampson is a British Nigerian, born in Birmingham, England. Initially
an aspiring performance artist, it was her love for the colours, textures and fabrics
of the costumes, along with the many encounters with the seamstresses who produced
them which captured her attention inspiring her to learn how to expand on her artistic
illustrations and learn to create the designs that she was constantly presenting
to those seamstresses.
She graduated with a HND in Fashion design and Textiles in
2007, then taking up a brief internship with luxury handmade bag company, Claudine.
Before setting out to create Dancing Dolls.
It was first conceived in 2008, as an
underground label providing dance attire to cater for dancers of all genres within
the West Midlands. From its humble beginnings, it soon attracted a mass following
through out the UK-reaching as far as Plymouth, Newquay and Ireland. In 2010, it
was relaunched as a more accessible and diverse women's fashion label
